GemForge Labs is now linked with WeChall
GemForge Labs are proud to announce that we are now linked as a site on WeChall.
For anyone who has spent time around hacking challenges, wargames, CTFs, or practical cybersecurity training, WeChall needs little introduction. It has been part of the community fabric for years, connecting challenge sites, learners, hackers, and problem solvers across the world. Its purpose is simple and valuable: help people discover platforms, track progress, and keep pushing themselves across a wider ecosystem of technical challenges
Cybersecurity has changed a lot since the early days and the advancements made are no surprise. We're where we are today because curious people broke things, fixed them, documented what they learned and shared it with others. WeChall represents that spirit.
Why WeChall Matters
The cybersecurity community has always been built from the ground up.
Before the industry had the level of structure it has now, there were forums, challenge sites, writeups, IRC channels, wargames, and small communities of people trying to understand systems properly. People learned by doing. They tested themselves against problems that did not care about job titles, degrees, or how confident someone sounded on LinkedIn. Either you solved the challenge or you didn't, but either way you'd learn and that made it a success. This kind of environment is still one of the best ways to learn and develop real technical ability. It teaches things that are difficult to learn in a class room like methodology & how to think when answers aren't obvious.
WeChall has supported that model by acting as a hub for challenge sites and communities dedicated to hacking, cybersecurity, and problem solving. It helps learners discover new sites across areas such as programming, cryptography, reversing, web security, and more. It also gives people a way to track progress across multiple platforms through a unified ranking system.
GemForge Labs and the Same Practical Ethos
Funnily enough GemForge Labs was created with the same ethos in mind. The kind of content that makes you, the reader, hopefully more capable on the other end.
The aim is to give you a hands-on environments where your able to build skills that transfer into real work. That means solving problems, making mistakes, understanding systems, and developing the kind of judgement that only comes from repetition.
That is why being linked with WeChall is meaningful to us and a huge step forward at such an early stage. WeChall is part of the wider training culture that helped shape modern cybersecurity. It supports people who want to learn by doing, and it gives recognition to the challenge sites that contribute to that ecosystem, like ours.
For GemForge users, being listed on WeChall gives another route into the platform and another way to connect GemForge Labs with the wider challenge community. It also means that learners who already use WeChall to track their progress and discover new challenge sites can now find GemForge Labs as part of that journey.
Start to Challenge Yourself
Cybersecurity needs more people who can actually do the work.
That starts with practice. It starts with challenge sites, labs, wargames, writeups, and communities that reward effort over appearances.
We are proud to have GemForge Labs linked with WeChall, and we are grateful for the role WeChall continues to play in supporting the people who keep this industry moving forward.
